Concordia Conservatory’s profound commitment to community outreach has led to establishing many programs to bring music to people of all backgrounds.

Scholarships
Concordia Conservatory assists merit-and need-based students at the Conservatory through a scholarship fund to assist those who are interested in our programs but lack the financial means to participate.

Outreach Programs
Concordia Conservatory administers outreach programs to benefit those who do not have access to regular music programs in their community or school. These programs are offered in partnership with the Rosedale Achievement Center in the south Bronx, and the Andrus Early Learning Center in Tuckahoe.

At Rosedale, the Conservatory offers private voice, violin, and guitar instruction for ages 6-18 throughout the year. At the Andrus Early Learning Center, the Conservatory provides weekly early childhood music classes and a Suzuki violin program for ages 2-6. These programs are staffed by Concordia Conservatory faculty, and are funded by foundations and private donors.

Public Library Programs
Concordia Conservatory offers programs with the community public libraries throughout the year. The program entitled “Musical Adventures at the Library with Concordia Conservatory”, is a series of music and literature programs for early childhood through middle school presented at the public libraries of Bronxville, Eastchester New Rochelle, Pelham, Scarsdale and Tuckahoe.

Holiday Community Musical
Since 2000, Concordia Conservatory has produced an annual holiday musical in December as a tuition-free program for community members from ages 8-18.

Area School Enrichment
The Conservatory faculty offers in-school enrichment to area school districts with their general music, chorus, band and orchestra programs.

Hoch Chamber Music Series
The Hoch Chamber Music Series was established in 2001, and offers world-class chamber music in lower Westchester County. Under the guidance of Artistic Director Lawrence Dutton of The Emerson String Quartet, the Hoch Chamber Music series presents a 3-concert subscription season with renowned performers of all genres of music and accessible ticket prices.

Musical Adventures Concert Series
Produced and performed by Conservatory faculty, this family concert series is geared to young children ages 3-10. These delightful 45-minute concerts are programmed to educate and entertain. The three performances are held at 11am on Saturdays in Schoenfeld Campus Center.

Music Advisory Board
The Conservatory has established an advisory board for Music at Concordia, bringing together key music educators in the southern Westchester County community. This collaboration fosters breadth and depth in the conversations that plans events for our community and area schools.
